I have worked as a counsellor for almost a decade with different populations. Most of my work has been done in the field of addiction, where I have worked at several well known inpatient facilities. I have also had my own practice working with individuals since 2011.
I hold degrees in Psychology from University of Phoenix and Pepperdine University. I also hold a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. I completed two years of doctoral study at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology. The dissertation is a work in progress, but my research interest is in dream work.
I offer a warm, empathic approach to counselling, while maintaining a direct, no-nonsense skillset. I work with individuals, couples, families and children. I believe that the work will be more effective if as many people as possible in a similar system can work on themselves. The goal is for people to become more autonomous, without compromising the need for interdependence versus codependence.
I love what I do, and with any luck you will too. Call me today. I offer a free telephone consultation.
Peace and blessings.
Marriage Family Therapy
I am currently wrapping up my hours as an intern. I work under the supervision of Dr Beverly Barclay, a Clinical Psychologist in Ventura. I work with children, adult individuals, couples and families. I provide assessment, testing, and therapy.
I believe addiction is a symptom of a bigger problem. Addiction treatment is approached from a holistic perspective and tailored to individual needs. I treat all addictions.
